Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Shahida, the founder of Tutor&Gro.

My journey into online tutoring started because, although I love teaching children in the classroom, I have notices a clear pattern. Children’s confidence and skills in Maths, Numeracy truly excel when they learn in smaller, focused groups. This enables misconceptions to be spotted and time for encouragement. In addition it allows for students to comfortably make those all important errors whilst building strong foundations.

As a Primary School teacher and a Maths graduate with 10 years of experience working with young learners, I wanted to create a space where Qualified Teachers can share their valuable skills directly with students, creating an environment where children can truly grow in confidence.
