Booking, Cancelation T'&Cs and FAQ’s
Important Note
By booking a block, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions stated below and on our website.
1. Booking & Payment Terms
Upfront Monthly Payments: All block tutoring sessions must be paid for in advance.
Standard Monthly Block: Blocks are booked and paid for in 4-week cycles.
Slot Guarantees: Spaces cannot be held and are only guaranteed once the block payment has cleared.
Late Payments: If payment deadlines are missed, Tutor&Gro reserves the right to suspend services and offer the time slot to a client on the waiting list.
Pricing & Discounts: The £25 hourly rate is based on a group of maximum 6 students. Because this rate is already significantly discounted from standard 1:1 rates, no sibling or additional group discounts apply.
2. Attendance & Cancellations
Cancellation & Rescheduling Limit: Tutor&Gro operates a strict no-refund policy for cancelled sessions. However, you are permitted one reschedule per school term, provided you give at least 24 hours' notice.
Illness & Travel Disruption (Online Substitutions): If a student normally receives face-to-face lessons but contracts an infectious illness (where they would be expected to stay away from school or work), or is otherwise unable to travel to the lesson venue, no face-to-face lesson will take place. Instead, an online lesson will be offered as a substitute for that slot. The Tutor is under no obligation to offer an alternative or makeup lesson slot for any reason.
Repeated Absences: Regular cancellations or missing two consecutive sessions without prior notice may result in the permanent withdrawal of services.
Late Arrivals: Sessions begin and end strictly at the scheduled times. Time lost due to student lateness cannot be made up or extended.
Session Delivery: The tutor reserves the right to shift sessions online (via video call) instead of face-to-face if circumstances require it.
3. Learning Environment & Safety
Online Setup: For virtual sessions, students must work in a quiet, distraction-free environment with a working camera and microphone.
Safeguarding: To ensure child safety, a parent or guardian must be present at home for the entire duration of both online and face-to-face lessons.
Student Conduct: Tutor&Gro reserves the right to terminate services immediately and without a refund in cases of inappropriate behaviour, bullying, or disruption.
4. Ending the Agreement
Notice Period: Either party may permanently end the tutoring agreement by providing a 14-day written notice. Any sessions falling within these 14 days must be paid for and attended.
Mutual Cancellation: Both parties reserve the right to end services providing the 14 day notice, if the tutoring is no longer deemed beneficial for the student's educational progress.
